Our Curriculum

At Bright Children Development Center, we use the Creative Curriculum® to guide our educational approach for children from birth to age 5. This research-based curriculum fosters growth across all areas, including social-emotional, cognitive, literacy, math, science, and art. Our teachers create play-based lesson plans that encourage curiosity and hands-on learning, helping children develop essential skills in a fun, engaging environment.
We believe each child is unique and deserves personalized attention. By assigning a lead teacher to each child, we ensure strong connections and closely monitor their development using My Teaching Strategies. We also offer diverse experiences from classroom activities to nature walks to fuel a love of learning. Partnering with families, we ensure a collaborative approach to each child's growth, meeting regularly to support their educational journey.
Fun & Creativity
Art
In the Creative Curriculum®, art is a key element that nurtures creativity, self-expression, and problem-solving skills. By engaging with various materials, colors, and textures, children develop fine motor skills, enhance cognitive abilities, and learn to express their thoughts and emotions, fostering both their intellectual and social-emotional growth.
Music
In the Creative Curriculum®, music plays a key role in supporting children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Through activities like singing, rhythm, and movement, children develop language skills, memory, and coordination, while also using music as a creative outlet for self-expression and emotional communication.
Movement
In the Creative Curriculum®, movement is a vital component of children's physical and cognitive development. Through activities like dancing, climbing, and stretching, children improve their motor skills, balance, and coordination while also enhancing their ability to focus and engage in learning experiences.
Language
In the Creative Curriculum®, language development is at the core of children's cognitive growth and communication skills. Through daily conversations, storytelling, and interactive activities, children build vocabulary, enhance listening skills, and begin to understand the structure of language, laying a strong foundation for literacy.
Mathematics
In the Creative Curriculum®, mathematics is integrated into daily activities to help children develop foundational numeracy skills. Through hands-on experiences like sorting, counting, and measuring, children learn concepts such as patterns, shapes, and basic arithmetic, fostering problem-solving abilities and a positive attitude toward math.
Outside Play
In the Creative Curriculum®, outside play is an essential part of children's physical, social, and cognitive development. By engaging in activities like running, climbing, and exploring nature, children build motor skills, learn about the environment, and develop social interactions, all while fostering creativity and problem-solving in a dynamic, open space.
