Health & Safety

At Bright Children Development Center, the health, safety, and well-being of every child are our highest priorities. We are committed to providing a warm, secure, and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive with confidence. Our health and safety practices meet or exceed the standards established by the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) and reflect current best practices in early childhood education.

Safe & Nurturing Environment
We provide a clean, welcoming, and carefully supervised environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore, learn, and develop at their own pace.

Daily Cleaning & Sanitization
Our classrooms, toys, learning materials, and high-touch surfaces are cleaned and disinfected throughout the day using child-safe products to help maintain a healthy environment for everyone.

Hand Hygiene
Handwashing is part of our daily routine. Children and staff wash their hands before meals, after diapering or using the restroom, after outdoor play, and whenever needed to help reduce the spread of germs.

Safe Sleep Practices
The safety of our infants is a top priority. We follow safe sleep guidelines by placing infants on their backs to sleep in individual cribs that are kept free of blankets, pillows, toys, and other loose items.
Qualified & Caring Educators
Our educators are trained in CPR, First Aid, Mandatory Reporter requirements, and ongoing health and safety practices. Through continuous professional development, our team remains prepared to provide the highest standard of care for every child.

Small Class Sizes & Individualized Care
We maintain teacher-to-child ratios that meet or exceed OSSE licensing requirements, allowig each child to receive personalized attention, close supervision, and meaningful interactions throughout the day.

Secure Facility
The safety of our families is important to us. Our center maintains controlled building access, and all employees complete required background checks and fingerprint clearances before joining our team.
Emergency Preparedness
Our staff regularly practices emergency procedures, including fire, evacuation, and shelter-in-place drills. We continuously review our Emergency Preparedness and Safety Plan to ensure we are ready to respond quickly and effectively in any situation.

We work closely with families to promote healthy habits, communicate health concerns promptly, and provide a safe, supportive environment where every child can flourish.
